Quick verdict

Elite Trader Funding offers one of the widest plan menus in futures funding — live trailing, EOD, static and direct-to-funded under one roof. The catch: its flagship 1-Step plan uses a live trailing drawdown on unrealized profit, the strictest style available, and caps withdrawals at up to $3,000 per cycle. Good fit for experienced, tight-risk traders who want plan variety; beginners are usually better served by an EOD drawdown firm.

The plans, side by side

All details below come from ETF's official help center, checked October 27, 2026. ETF occasionally adds or retires plan types, so confirm the current lineup before buying.

1-Step (Live Trailing)Live trailing — follows your highest unrealized profit

ETF's most popular plan. No daily loss limit, 5 minimum trading days (a One Day to Pass add-on reduces this to 1), 8 qualified days before the first payout, profit split up to 100%, withdrawals capped at up to $3,000 per payout cycle. ETF itself labels this plan 'Expert' level.

DTF (Direct to Funded)End-of-Day or Static

Skips the evaluation entirely for a one-time fee — no monthly subscription. Overnight and weekend holding allowed, 1:1 mini-to-micro scaling, up to 5 active DTF accounts and up to 10 resets per account.

StaticStatic — fixed minimum balance

The simplest drawdown to manage: the floor never moves. Smaller account sizes (10K/25K) have a lower $125 Active Trade Day minimum instead of $250.

EODEnd-of-day trailing

Trails your highest end-of-day balance, so open winners can't fail you mid-session. A safety net locks the drawdown once realized profit equals max drawdown + $100.

Diamond HandsPer ETF help center

A separate plan family with its own ATD requirements. Check the current plan page for exact terms before buying.

Revamped Fast TrackPer ETF help center

The only ETF plan with a true best-day consistency cap: your best day cannot exceed 40% of total profit to qualify and 30% at reward. On all other plans, best-day percentages only decide whether a day counts as an Active Trade Day.

The 1-Step live trailing drawdown, in plain English

This is the rule that defines ETF. On the 1-Step plan, your maximum drawdown trails your highest unrealized profit in real time. ETF's own example: start at $50,000 with a $2,000 drawdown (floor at $48,000); close a trade $1,000 up and the floor moves to $49,000 — but with live trailing, the floor also moves while a trade is open and winning.

Practical consequence: you can be up on the day, give back open profit, and still breach. If you're used to end-of-day trailing, this is a meaningfully harder rule, and it's why ETF labels the plan "Expert". The safety net only exists after funding: once realized profit equals max drawdown + $100, the drawdown stops trailing.

Consistency and Active Trade Days

Two rules here get constantly confused. The Active Trade Day (ATD) rule decides whether a day counts toward minimums: for evaluations purchased on or after October 2, 2026, a day needs at least $250 realized profit and at least 30% of your best day ($125 minimum on 10K/25K Static). Older purchases follow the previous $200-based rule.

A true best-day consistency cap exists only on the Revamped Fast Track plan (40% to qualify, 30% at reward). Everywhere else, one big day won't disqualify you — it just raises the bar for other days to count as ATDs. Compare this with how other firms handle it in my consistency rule guide.

Payouts: what to expect

On the 1-Step plan, the first payout requires 8 qualified days, the profit split is up to 100%, and withdrawals are capped at up to $3,000 per payout cycle. That cap is the number to weigh: strong months get paid out in slices rather than one withdrawal.

Since I don't trade at ETF myself, I can't confirm payout speed first-hand. Cross-check recent trader reports — my Reddit sentiment guide shows how I do that — and see how long payouts take at the firms I do trade.

Pros and cons

What I like
  • Genuinely wide plan selection — live trailing, EOD, static and direct-to-funded options under one roof
  • No daily loss limit on the flagship 1-Step plan
  • No true best-day consistency cap on most plans (only Revamped Fast Track has one)
  • DTF plan allows overnight and weekend holding — rare for instant-style funding
  • Detailed public help center with exact numbers per plan and account size
What to watch
  • The 1-Step live trailing drawdown follows unrealized profit — the strictest style on the market
  • Withdrawals on the 1-Step plan are capped at up to $3,000 per payout cycle
  • 8 qualified days before the first 1-Step payout slows early withdrawals
  • ATD rules changed for evaluations purchased on or after October 2, 2026 — older accounts follow different minimums, which confuses rule-checking
  • Contract limits are enforced independently for minis and micros, and stacking both can trigger account action

Who ETF suits — and who should look elsewhere

Good fit: experienced traders with tight, mechanical risk who want plan variety, no daily loss limit, and (on DTF) the ability to swing hold — rare in this industry.

Look elsewhere: newer traders, anyone whose style lets open profit breathe, and anyone who needs uncapped withdrawals. An EOD drawdown firm will be more forgiving. My best futures prop firms ranking compares the firms I actually trade, and instant funding options covers the DTF-style category.

Elite Trader Funding FAQ

Is Elite Trader Funding legit?+

ETF is an established futures prop firm with a detailed public rulebook and help center, which is a good sign. I am not an ETF partner and don't trade there myself, so I can't vouch for payouts first-hand — check recent third-party payout reports and my are prop firms legit checklist before buying.

What plans does Elite Trader Funding offer?+

As of October 2026, ETF's help center lists the 1-Step (Live Trailing), DTF (Direct to Funded), Static, EOD, Diamond Hands and Revamped Fast Track plans, in various account sizes. Each has its own drawdown type, minimum days and payout terms.

How does the Elite Trader Funding 1-Step drawdown work?+

It's a live trailing drawdown that follows your highest unrealized (open) profit in real time. That means a winning open position that pulls back can still breach your account — the most aggressive trailing style available. ETF itself rates this plan for expert traders.

Does Elite Trader Funding have a consistency rule?+

Only on the Revamped Fast Track plan, where your best day cannot exceed 40% of total profit to qualify (30% at reward). On the other plans, best-day percentages like 30% only determine whether a day counts as an Active Trade Day — they don't cap how much you can make.

What is an Active Trade Day (ATD) at ETF?+

A day that counts toward minimum-day requirements. For evaluations purchased on or after October 2, 2026, a day qualifies when it earns at least $250 realized profit and at least 30% of your best day ($125 minimum for 10K and 25K Static). Evaluations purchased earlier follow the previous $200-based rule.

How fast are Elite Trader Funding payouts?+

On the 1-Step plan you need 8 qualified days before the first payout, and withdrawals are capped at up to $3,000 per payout cycle, with a profit split of up to 100%. Other plans have their own cycles — check the current plan page for exact terms.

Can I hold trades overnight at Elite Trader Funding?+

On the DTF (Direct to Funded) plan, yes — overnights and weekends are explicitly allowed. Evaluation plans are generally day-trading oriented; confirm the current rulebook for the specific plan you're considering.

Can I use a trade copier with Elite Trader Funding?+

Only copiers on ETF's approved list may be used, per its help center. If you plan to copy trades across accounts, check the approved list first — I cover the general workflow in my scaling with copy trading guide.

How does Elite Trader Funding compare to Apex or Tradeify?+

ETF's 1-Step live trailing drawdown is stricter than Apex's EOD-style trailing and most Tradeify plans, but ETF offers more plan variety including true overnight holding on DTF. My best futures prop firms ranking compares the firms I trade myself.

Do you have an Elite Trader Funding discount code?+

No — I'm not an ETF partner. Code SATO works only at my partner firms: FundedNext, Tradeify and Apex. ETF runs its own promotions; check its checkout for current pricing.
