Quick Verdict

FundedNext Futures — 9.4 / 10

One of the best futures prop firms in 2026. Three well-designed account models — Flex, Legacy, and Rapid — with end-of-day max loss, no evaluation time limit, and a live funded account path. Legacy is my personal pick.

Heads up: the video covers my overall experience with FundedNext, including the CFD/forex side on MetaTrader. This article focuses specifically on FundedNext Futures. Skip to the futures portion in the video, or keep reading for the written breakdown of Flex, Legacy, and Rapid.

What is FundedNext Futures?

FundedNext Futures is the futures arm of one of the longest-running prop firms out there. They sit alongside their original CFD/forex business, but the futures side is its own product with its own rulebook. Most prop firms give you one or two evaluation choices. FundedNext Futures currently offers three: Flex, Legacy, and Rapid (with Pro and Daily variants). Each one is built for a different kind of trader. The old Bolt challenge has been discontinued.

All three use a one-step evaluation with no time limit, an end-of-day (EOD) max loss, no daily loss limit, and a path to fast payouts. All three also include a live funded account opportunity, which puts FundedNext ahead of the sim-only crowd. Flex vs Legacy vs Rapid — Full Comparison

The three FundedNext Futures accounts overlap in some areas (one-step, EOD max loss, no daily loss limit) but diverge meaningfully on profit target, reward split, and maximum withdrawal size. This is the single most important table on the page.

Best Overall
Legacy

No consistency rule after funding makes it my preferred long-term funded account.

Best Long-Term Account
Legacy

Excellent flexibility once you pass — trade your normal sizing without consistency micro-management.

Easiest Evaluation
Rapid

No consistency rule during the challenge — pass on your best day.

Best Reward Split
Flex

Up to 95% reward share and the lowest profit target in the FundedNext lineup ($2,500).

Best Value
Flex

Cheapest entry, low $2,500 target, and the highest split — strongest payout efficiency on smaller cycles.

Fastest Pass
Rapid

One-day-pass one-step evaluation with no consistency rule during the challenge.

1. Legacy — Best for Long-Term Funded Income

Legacy is the account I recommend by default for traders who want to build a real funded income, not just pass an evaluation. It uses a one-step challenge with a 40% consistency rule during the evaluation, then removes that consistency rule entirely once you're funded.

The drawdown is end-of-day trailing and locks at your starting balance, so once you trail past the start your max loss becomes a static floor. There is no daily loss limit. Before your first withdrawal you complete 5 benchmark days, then withdraw every 5 benchmark days after that.

Why I prefer Legacy: the post-funding rules are the cleanest. No consistency micro-management, no daily loss limit, no surprises. You just trade. That is exactly what you want when you're trying to compound a funded account over months and years.

My Rating
9.6 / 10

2. Rapid — The Account I Actually Trade Live

Rapid is the account I use most on my live streams. The reason is simple: no consistency rule during the evaluation, no benchmark days, and no minimum trading days before the first payout. You can technically pass on day one if you hit the profit target without breaching the drawdown.

Here is the breakdown I actually use when I buy these. On the 50K Rapid you get roughly a $2,000 trailing drawdown and a $3,000 profit target. On the 100K Rapid the drawdown is around $2,500 and the profit target is a bit higher. The drawdown difference between the two accounts is only $500, which is why the 100K used to be the obvious pick on a capital-efficiency basis.

I skip the 25K Rapid. It runs around $100, while the 50K is around $149. For another fifty bucks you get double the buying power and a wider drawdown. The 25K just is not worth it in my opinion.

Once you are funded on Rapid, a 40% consistency rule kicks in. Your best single day cannot represent more than 40% of total profit on the cycle. If you make $1,000 total and your best day was $500, that is 50% and you are non-compliant. The fix is straightforward: keep adding smaller trading days to dilute the best-day share before withdrawing. I will do a full consistency breakdown in a separate guide.

First withdrawal lands after 3 trading days, then every 3 trading days after that. Rapid is the cleanest path from purchase to first payout in the FundedNext lineup.

Big update for January 1, 2026

FundedNext raised the maximum funded allocation from 300K to 500K, with a cap of 500K total spread across up to 500 accounts. In practical terms: if you stack five 50K accounts you cap out at 250K. If you stack five 100K Rapid accounts you cap out at the full 500K. That flips the math on the 100K Rapid. It used to be that 50K was the obvious pick for stacking. Going forward, if you are genuinely profitable, two 100K Rapid accounts is what I am personally moving to.

My Rating
9.4 / 10

3. Flex — Best Reward Split & Cheapest Entry

Flex has the lowest profit target in the lineup at just $2,500, a $1,500 EOD max loss, and a 40% consistency rule during the evaluation only (no consistency after funding). Reward share goes up to 95%, with a maximum withdrawal of $1,500 per payout cycle.

If you're a profitable trader who plans to withdraw regularly on smaller cycles, Flex is mathematically the most efficient. The lowest target gets you to funding faster and the highest split means more of every payout lands in your account. The trade-off is the $1,500 withdrawal cap — traders who want to withdraw larger sums per cycle should look at Legacy instead.

My Rating
9.2 / 10

The Rules Explained (Simply)

End-of-Day Trailing Drawdown

Your max loss limit trails based on your closing balance each day, not intraday peaks. Example: start at $50,000 with a $2,000 drawdown. You close day 1 at $50,800 — your floor moves to $48,800. Intraday spikes to $51,500 don't tighten the limit. This is dramatically more forgiving than intraday trailing drawdown.

Consistency Rule

A 40% consistency rule means your best single day cannot represent more than 40% of your total profit. If you make $5,000 total and your best day was $2,500, that's 50% — non-compliant. Solution: add more trading days with smaller wins to dilute the best day before withdrawing.

Minimum Trading Days

Qualifying trading days you must complete on a funded account before withdrawing. Flex and Legacy require 5 trading days for the first withdrawal, Rapid requires 3. They prove sustained activity instead of a single lucky session.

No Daily Loss Limit

Unlike some prop firms, none of the three current FundedNext Futures accounts (Flex, Legacy, Rapid) enforce a daily loss limit. The end-of-day (EOD) max loss is the only hard drawdown constraint — a big reason FundedNext Futures rules are considered forgiving.

Reward Split & Live Funded Account

Reward splits: Flex up to 95%, Rapid Pro 90%, Legacy 80%. Maximum withdrawal per cycle: Flex $1,500, Rapid Pro $1,200, Legacy $6,000. All three include the live funded account opportunity — top sim-funded traders can be moved onto a live broker account, a meaningful differentiator from sim-only competitors.

How I Connect FundedNext Futures to TradingView

This is the part most reviews skip. Once your FundedNext Futures account is purchased, you get login details for the platform side, which runs through Tradovate. From there you can route into TradingView, which is how I personally trade futures on my live streams.

  1. Log into your account on the Tradovate dashboard using the credentials FundedNext sends you.
  2. Click into the account, go to Settings → Add-ons, and activate the TradingView add-on.
  3. Open TradingView, scroll to the bottom panel, and click Trading Panel → Tradovate.
  4. Choose Demo Account (FundedNext evaluation accounts run in sim) and log in with the same FundedNext credentials.
  5. You can now place trades directly from TradingView charts. The plus icon on the chart lets you drop a market or limit order, then drag the stop and take profit to size the trade.

Once it is wired up it feels exactly like trading from any retail broker, except the P&L counts towards a funded payout. This setup is what you see on my livestreams when I am day trading ES and NQ on a FundedNext Rapid account.

FundedNext vs Apex vs Tradeify vs Topstep

FundedNext competes head-to-head with the three biggest futures prop firms. Here's the honest breakdown:

  • vs Apex Trader Funding: Apex wins on lowest evaluation pricing during promotions and massive scaling (up to 20 accounts). FundedNext wins on rule clarity, the live funded account path, and the EOD trailing drawdown. Apex uses intraday trailing on most plans, which is meaningfully tighter.
  • vs Tradeify: Tradeify is the simpler firm with fewer options and a no-activation-fee structure. FundedNext gives you three account models to choose from. Pick Tradeify if you want one clean choice; pick FundedNext if you want to match the account to your specific style. See the full Tradeify review and the Apex vs Tradeify comparison.
  • vs Topstep: Topstep is the most established name and has a strong live funded account path. FundedNext is generally less expensive, has more flexible drawdown on most accounts, and offers more account-model variety. Topstep's brand recognition is its biggest advantage.

My Personal FundedNext Ranking

  1. 🥇 Legacy — Best long-term flexibility. No consistency rule after funding is a genuine edge for serious traders.
  2. 🥈 Rapid — Easiest to pass thanks to no consistency during the evaluation. The funded-side consistency rule is manageable with smart trading day spacing.
  3. 🥉 Flex — Best for traders prioritising payout efficiency on smaller cycles. Cheapest entry with a $2,500 target and up to a 95% split.

FundedNext Futures FAQ

Is FundedNext legit?+

Yes. FundedNext is a well-established prop firm that pays its funded traders. Their futures division now offers three account models — Flex, Legacy, and Rapid — each with documented rules and a track record of real payouts.

Is FundedNext Futures worth it in 2026?+

For most futures traders, yes. FundedNext offers one-step evaluations, no time limit, end-of-day max loss on all three current accounts, fast payouts, and a live funded account opportunity. The main downside is that rules differ between the three models, which can confuse beginners.

What challenges does FundedNext Futures currently offer?+

FundedNext Futures now offers three challenges: Flex (most affordable, up to 95% reward share), Legacy (highest return per reward, no buffer required), and Rapid (fast-pass and daily-reward variants). The old Bolt challenge has been discontinued.

FundedNext Legacy vs Rapid — which is better?+

Legacy is better for long-term funded traders because there is no consistency rule after funding — you just trade. Rapid is better for traders who want the fastest pass and daily reward cycles once funded. My personal pick for sustained income is Legacy.

FundedNext Legacy vs Flex — which is better?+

Legacy pays 80% but allows a much higher $6,000 max withdrawal per cycle and looser contract limits once funded. Flex is the cheapest entry point with up to a 95% reward share and a $1,500 maximum withdrawal per cycle. Pick Flex for payout efficiency on smaller cycles, Legacy for scaling withdrawals over time.

FundedNext Rapid vs Flex — which is better?+

Rapid has no consistency rule during the evaluation and can be passed in as little as 1 day, with rewards after 3 trading days and a 90% split (max $1,200 per withdrawal on Rapid Pro). Flex has a lower profit target and up to 95% split but requires 5 days before the first reward. Rapid is the fastest path to first payout; Flex is the cheapest with the highest split.

What is the Rapid Daily variant?+

Rapid Daily is one of two Rapid variants (alongside Rapid Pro) built around daily reward cycles. Rules and pricing for the Daily variant are published on the FundedNext website — always check the current rulebook before purchasing.

What happened to the Bolt challenge?+

FundedNext discontinued the Bolt challenge. The current FundedNext Futures lineup is Flex, Legacy, and Rapid. Any older content referencing Bolt is outdated.

What is end-of-day max loss?+

The end-of-day (EOD) max loss is your maximum loss limit measured against your closing balance each day, not intraday peaks. This is more forgiving than intraday trailing drawdown because open profits don't lock in a tighter limit. All three current FundedNext accounts use EOD max loss with no daily loss limit.

Can I trade news on FundedNext Futures?+

FundedNext is generally news-friendly on futures accounts compared to many forex prop firms, but always confirm the current news policy on fundednext.com before high-impact releases. Rules can change.

Can I use NinjaTrader and Tradovate with FundedNext?+

Yes. FundedNext Futures supports common futures platforms including NinjaTrader and Tradovate via standard data routing. Confirm the current platform list on fundednext.com before subscribing to a data feed.

How long does it take to get funded with FundedNext?+

FundedNext evaluations have no time limit. Rapid can technically be passed in a single day if you hit the profit target. Flex and Legacy require you to build to the target while respecting the 40% evaluation consistency rule.

Which FundedNext account do you recommend?+

Legacy for long-term funded income (no consistency after funding, $6,000 max per withdrawal). Flex for the cheapest entry and highest split up to 95%. Rapid for the fastest possible pass and daily reward cycles.

What is the FundedNext discount code?+

Use code SATO at checkout on fundednext.com via the SATO referral link for the latest available discount and to qualify for exclusive Sato Supporter Giveaways.
