Legends Trading Review 2026
A futures prop firm with a monthly Apprentice evaluation, a consistency target and one-time Master fees. Here is what the official documentation says—and what it leaves unclear.

This is an independent, documentation-based review, not a firsthand Legends account or payout test. I have no Legends partnership. SATO VIP is my own paid service. Rules, prices and plan names change; confirm them before paying.
Legends Trading sells futures evaluations that lead to a Master account. Its official guidelines list a minimum of five trading days, a best-day consistency target below 30% of the profit goal, a trailing max loss and trading until one minute before the close. After qualifying, its help centre lists a one-time Master fee per account size. The main risk is not the headline split but the gaps between official pages and third-party summaries—so verify your exact plan.
“Legends Trading” searches mix the firm’s homepage, help-centre articles, discount-code sites and rule trackers. Those sources do not always agree on minimum days, plan names or fees. This review sticks to what the firm’s own help centre stated when I checked it, and flags where you need written confirmation.
What Legends Trading sells
Legends describes a path from an Apprentice evaluation to a Master account. You pay to trade an evaluation; if you hit the profit goal while respecting the rules, you qualify for a Master account. The help centre’s Master-account section answers whether Master accounts are live, how many you may hold and what happens when one fails—read those answers for your account rather than assuming “funded” means a personal brokerage balance.
Third-party trackers also describe Elite and Straight-to-Master paths with one-time pricing. I did not find those terms in the official articles reviewed here, so I do not quote their numbers. If you are considering one of them, save the exact plan rulebook at purchase.
Like every futures prop firm, this is a contract with the firm, not an investment account. The general model—fees, rule families and payout conditions—is covered in my futures prop firms guide.
Apprentice evaluation rules from the official guidelines
The evaluation guidelines list these requirements:
- Minimum trading days: at least 5, with no maximum.
- Consistency target: best trading day less than 30% of the total profit goal.
- Max position: each package caps open contracts across products.
- Profit goal: a set target per package; a positive balance rolls over at subscription renewal if the target is not reached.
- Trailing max loss: a minimum balance that trails your profits.
- Trading times: from market open to one minute before the close; no restricted days.
Some tracking sites list four minimum days for certain plans. A difference of one day matters if you are counting renewal dates, so check the number your dashboard actually enforces.
The rollover is useful: an unfinished evaluation does not automatically return to zero at renewal. It still means another monthly charge, so set a limit on how many renewals you will pay before stopping to review your trading.
How the 30% consistency target changes your plan
Read the wording carefully: the best day must be less than 30% of the profit goal. On an illustrative $3,000 goal, that means the best day should stay under $900. A $1,400 day does not pass the evaluation early; it means you need more total profit, or more days, before the ratio works.
That pushes you towards steady, repeatable days rather than one large session. If your method produces occasional large trend days, model how often you would be held back. My consistency rule guide walks through the calculation.
Don’t force small trades just to add days. Keep your normal setup criteria and let the target take longer if needed.
Trailing max loss: the floor that moves
The official guidelines describe a trailing max loss that rises with profits. Third-party trackers report it as end-of-day trailing during evaluation, meaning it updates on closing balance rather than every intraday high. Neither the trigger nor the lock level is spelled out in the article I reviewed, so ask support or check your dashboard.
Trailing floors punish giving profit back. If the account closes up $1,000, your floor may move up by about that amount, leaving the same buffer above a higher balance. Size positions against the remaining distance to the floor, not the account’s nominal size. See trailing drawdown explained for worked examples.
Fees after passing, resets and cancellations
The help centre’s Master-account fee article lists a one-time fee covering data, platform and account costs:
| Master account | One-time fee | Reset after failure |
|---|---|---|
| 25K | $149 | $419 |
| 50K | $159 | $449 |
| 100K | $179 | $479 |
| 150K | $199 | $499 |
The same article says a failed Master account can be reset up to three times. Those reset prices are higher than many evaluation fees, so a reset is a costly option, not a cheap second chance. Figures are from the official help centre on October 31, 2026; marketing pages and other plans may show different charges.
The cancellation article is important: cancelling permanently loses the account, cancelled or pending-cancellation accounts are not eligible for payouts or Master accounts, and reset fees are not refundable. Do not cancel a subscription while waiting for a qualification review.
Payouts: read the Master rules before counting money
Third-party summaries report a 90/10 split, a $1,000 minimum request and payouts up to twice per month, with profitable-day and buffer conditions. I could not confirm all of those figures in the official articles reviewed, so I treat them as reported, not verified.
Before buying, find the official Master objectives and payout articles and note: the minimum request, required profitable days, any buffer you must keep above the floor, caps on early payouts and how a withdrawal affects your trailing floor. Separate the date you become eligible from the date money actually arrives.
I don’t show a Legends payout because I don’t have one. My own payout proof is from other firms and cannot validate Legends.
Platforms and products
The official guidelines mention NinjaTrader and Tradovate, with US futures such as S&P, Nasdaq, crude oil, gold, Bitcoin and nano contracts. Check the contract limits for micros versus minis in your package, since the max-position rule counts open contracts across products.
My own execution is TradingView connected to Tradovate, with ExoCharts for orderflow. I have not connected that setup to a Legends account, so I can’t confirm it works there.
My verdict
Legends’ public help centre is reasonably clear on evaluation basics, the consistency target, one-time Master fees and the harsh cancellation policy. The weak spots are the trailing-floor details, payout conditions and differences between official pages and third-party summaries.
It may suit a trader with steady, moderate daily profits who can stay well inside a trailing floor. It is a poorer fit if your results come from a few big days, or if you need a fully documented payout process before paying. I would not call it better or worse than other firms on this evidence. Compare it with the best futures prop firms and run the due-diligence checklist first.

Legends Trading Review FAQ
Is Legends Trading legit?+
It publishes a help centre with evaluation, Master-account, fee and payout articles, which supports due diligence. That is not proof of solvency or reliable payouts. This is a non-partner, documentation-based review; I have not bought a Legends account or received a Legends payout.
How many days do I need to pass the Legends evaluation?+
The official evaluation guidelines checked on October 31, 2026 say at least 5 trading days and no maximum. Some third-party trackers list a different number for certain plans, so confirm the figure for your exact plan in the dashboard before relying on it.
What is the Legends Trading consistency rule?+
The official guidelines state your best trading day should be less than 30% of the total profit goal. Some plans are reported to use a different percentage. Treat consistency as a planning constraint: one oversized day can require extra trading days before you qualify.
Does Legends Trading use a trailing drawdown?+
Yes. The help centre describes a Trailing Max Loss that trails with profits. Third-party trackers describe it as end-of-day trailing on the evaluation plans. Confirm when it updates and whether and where it locks for your plan before sizing positions.
Does Legends charge a fee after passing?+
The official Master-account fee article lists a one-time fee per account size, from $149 for 25K to $199 for 150K, covering data and platform. Some plans are marketed with a different or no activation charge, so check your checkout and plan page.
Can I reset a failed Legends Master account?+
The official article says a failed Master account can be reset up to three times, with listed reset prices from $419 to $499 depending on size. Check whether that suits your budget before treating reset access as a safety net.
What happens if I cancel my Legends subscription?+
According to the help centre, cancelling permanently loses the account, and cancelled or pending-cancellation accounts are not eligible for payouts or Master accounts. Reset fees are stated as non-refundable.
Which platforms does Legends Trading support?+
The evaluation guidelines mention NinjaTrader and Tradovate. Third-party sites list further platforms. Confirm current platform and data options for your account; this review does not include a platform test.
Can I hold positions until the close?+
The official guidelines say trading is allowed from market open to one minute before the market closes. Plan to be flat before that cutoff, and confirm how the firm defines it for each product.
Does Sato have a Legends Trading discount code?+
No. I do not claim a Legends partnership or a SATO code. Any discount codes you see elsewhere belong to the firm or other affiliates; check the final checkout price yourself.
