Best for prop firm traders

Tradovate and NinjaTrader are the platforms most futures prop firms support, and TradingView connects through Tradovate. If you trade several funded accounts, Tradovate copy trading is worth a look. Check platform support when choosing a firm in my best futures prop firms ranking.

Best for orderflow traders

If you read footprint, delta and the DOM, you'll outgrow basic charting. Sierra Chart, ATAS and Quantower all offer proper footprint charts; Bookmap specializes in visualizing resting liquidity. Learn the tool first with footprint charts explained.

A platform only shows the data — you still need the right locations. My daily ES & NQ orderflow levels share the POCs, value areas and reaction zones I prepare each day, as context rather than trade signals.

How to choose

  1. Check which platforms your prop firm supports.
  2. Decide whether you need orderflow tools or just charts.
  3. Check your operating system (many orderflow platforms are Windows-only).
  4. Try a demo before paying for any license or data.
